India is on the path of rapid industrial growth and has opened doors to foreign companies to set up industrial base in India. Infrastructures like Power Projects, Roads, Highways, Ports etc. are given the priority at all levels. Industrial establishments can be set-up as large / medium or small-scale units.

INDUSTRIAL LICENSE (I.L.)

With the liberalized Industrial Policy of the Government, manufacture of almost all items except those falling in Schedule- II are permitted. Industrial License will be required only for limited products.

INDUSTRIAL ENTREPRENEURS MEMORANDUM (I.E.M.)

The Government of India has liberalized the procedures for obtaining IEM Acknowledgement from 29.09.2006.

The District Industries Centre (DIC) have been given the powers to issue the MSME to those units having investment between Rs. 5 Crores to Rs. 10 Crores (Now as per new FTP policy treat as SSI unit).

If the Investment is more than Rs. 10 Crores the IEM Acknowledgement will be issued by the Secretariat of Industrial Assistance, New Delhi.

The IEM will enable the Entrepreneur to import Capital Goods, obtain power, financial assistance and registration with E. P. Council etc.

Mandatory to obtain Part-B (i.e. Date of Commencement)

The Entrepreneur has to inform and submit details as per proforma in Part - B at the time of commencement of the commercial production to the said authority and obtain a certificate of actual date of production and thereafter regular monthly production report to be submitted.

Kindly consult us as soon as start the production to avail the PART II B from SIA ( this is a mandatory & insisted by all other Departments. Hence to avoid problem get PART II B at the earliest.

NOTE: Please note that IEM granted prior to 30.06.1998 cannot be amended, modified or revised. In such case, fresh application has to be submitted. However, IEM issued after 01.07.1998 can be amended / modified.
