In terms of para 1.11 of the Foreign Trade Policy and para 2.06 of Handbook, no imports or exports can be made without having an Importer-Exporter Code Number.
Application should be made only by the Registered / Head Office of the applicant to the Regional Authority.
Following information / documents are required to prepare the application for new IEC.
Full Addresses of Regd. Office / Head Office / Branches / Factories /Godown along with Telephone, E- mail address.(We suggest at initial stage include all the branches i.e. Factories, Office, Godown etc).
List of full names of Directors / Partners / Proprietor / Trustee along with full names of father / husband and their residential addresses, telephone number& Email Id.
Date of establishment of the company.
Copy of SSI / MSME / IEM / IL registration (if manufacturer)
Copy of valid Loan Licence
Copy of valid Drugs Licence
Full Address (with pin code) of branches, factories, Godown to be included in IEC. It is necessary to give documentary evidence of said premises such as Rental agreement, Lease agreement, Rental receipt, Telephone Bill, Electric Bill etc.
Copy of Permanent Account Number (PAN)(Both side)
Original Bank Certificate on Bank Letter heads. Bank will also attest photo of signatory who will sign the application for IEC. (Be ensure that bank certificate showing full name and address of Designation & IFSC code. Also be ensure that while issuing bank should not put any condition on this certificate. Bank A/c Number must be only in Current A/c or Savings A/c.
If there is NRI Investment in the Company / firm, this should be declared. (copy of any specific permission taken from RBI or if automatic route give specific details covered under automatic route).
Six Passport size photographs of signatory whose photo appear in bank certificate (who has signed the application).
Memorandum of Articles of Association / Copy of Partnership Deed duly registered / copy of L.L.P deed duly registered.
10 Letter Heads of your company.
Self-addressed envelop along with postal stamp of Rs.40/- as there is no provision for hand delivery, it is mandatory to send the IEC by speed post.
